'The branches of the Astral Corridor weave through time and space, echoing fractured realities once thought forgotten. The archivists of the Black Archives work tirelessly to catalogue these tales, reaching into the furthest depths of the corridor to glimpse what can never be.’

Black Archives is a TTRPG story spotlight event, as our house GMs weave tales from across the multiverse. These original stories are self-contained and setting-agnostic, intended for both experienced and newer players. We'll be featuring a variety of indie TTRPG systems alongside our regular D&D5E offerings!

Each session will feature it's own unique system and requirements, so be sure to read the full event description before ordering.

Tonight, the tales you can expect to uncover are:

FINDING FAMILIARS

SYSTEM: A FAMILIAR PROBLEM

THE STORY: Where do familiars go when not exploring Adrestria? Are they lost wandering the Astral Corridor? Or do they keep themselves busy with their own adventures? It's a new year and our trusted familiars are having a bit of an identity crisis. We'll play as some familiar familiars and get to know some new ones in this improvised adventure.
Out: Finding Familiar. In: Finding yourself.
PRE-GENS PROVIDED?: If you are a returning Aeturnum player and already have a familiar, then we will quickly assign stats for them at the start of the session.
If your Aeturnum character (or if you have not played Aeturnum before) does not have a familiar, you can quickly roll up a new character before the game starts.
CONTENT WARNINGS: This system relies a lot on world-building and improv at the table. As such there are no specific content warnings however safety tools will be highlighted and discussed at session start.

EMBERS OF THE COVENANT

SYSTEM: BLACK MASS
THE STORY: Black Mass is a roleplaying game about two people leaving a community that doesn’t want them, to the woods that calls for them. We play to find out who they are, why they left, and what they find in the woods.
Black Mass is an introspective, nuanced, pointillistic tarot-based roleplaying game where players share responsibility over two travellers. Taking turns inhabiting different elements of their histories, personalities, and tendencies. Personas revolve around relationships, emotional experiences, discovery, and growth.

PRE-GENS PROVIDED?: N/A

CONTENT WARNINGS: Occult, tarot, witch trials and persecution, ostracism, loss, the devil, satanic ritual, death.

SUMMER OF LOVE

SYSTEM: D&D5E (2024)
THE STORY: It’s the late 1960’s. The Summer of Love is in full swing across the United States as hippies and hero's alike rebel against "The Man" in search of creating a more magical and peaceful world… And in the heart of this newly founded counterculture lays Haight-Ashbury, San Francisco California. But just beneath this budding hippie community lies a “far out” reality that finds itself locked in tandem with the turmoil of the modern and mundane.
So prepare to turn on, tune in, and drop out as you embark on a psychedelic transcendental voyage into the summer of love. This Urban Fantasy D&D adventure will see players living in an alternate history version of San Fransisco during the "Dixon" Administration. As members of the F.L.O.W.E.R Children you are the defenders of the counter culture, fighting for a better world for everyone everywhere.
PRE-GENS PROVIDED?: Yes
CONTENT WARNINGS: Drugs, Systematic injustice, Police and Police Brutality, Murder / Violence.

A fun and intriguing quest that stayed tense in spite of a very boisterous and unhinged party! Ruby did great managing everyone and describing some of the more delightfully disturbing elements.
