'The branches of the Astral Corridor weave through time and space, echoing fractured realities once thought forgotten. The archivists of the Black Archives work tirelessly to catalogue these tales, reaching into the furthest depths of the corridor to glimpse what can never be.’

Black Archives is a TTRPG story spotlight event, as our house GMs weave tales from across the multiverse. These original stories are self-contained and setting-agnostic, intended for both experienced and newer players. We'll be featuring a variety of indie TTRPG systems alongside our regular D&D5E offerings!

Each session will feature it's own unique system and requirements, so be sure to read the full event description before ordering.

Tonight, the tales you can expect to uncover are:

THE WITCH IS DEAD (An RPG about Murder).

The Witch is Dead (One Page Oneshot)

THE STORY: You are a cute woodland animal. Once upon a time, there was a kind and wise and beautiful witch who lived in the forest with her familiars, and her life was peaceful and happy until a FUCKING WITCH-HUNTER broke into her cottage and dragged her out and FUCKING MURDERED HER and now she's DEAD.
But if you get revenge and kill him and bring his EYES to her corpse within a week she'll come back to life. Or so you've heard. Even if it doesn't work, at least he's dead.

PRE-GENS PROVIDED?: Players will roll a character at the table.

CONTENT WARNINGS: This system relies a lot on world-building and improv at the table. As such, other than murder and eyes, there are no specific content warnings. Safety tools will be highlighted and discussed at session start.

LOVE BITES

D&D 5E (2014)

THE STORY: Far from the familiar comforts of Adrestia, the vampiric courts of Tisis have once again convened to engage in horrific debauchery and ritual sacrifice. Think undead speed dating, but worse. Hosting this affront to common decency is Haera Agelamorn, a creature of immense power and questionable taste. The elder vampire responsible for turning you. Naturally, several of the attendees want her dead. All you need to do is root them out and destroy them first.

The only complication? One of them is you.

A high-stakes social deduction game of messy gay vampire drama and platonic murder.

PRE-GENS PROVIDED?: Pre-gens will be available, or you can create a Level 6 character using the vampire spawn PC rules provided here
CONTENT WARNINGS:
Blood, murder, cannibalism, death, graphic violence, mind control.

A lovely little session, especially after the long trauma of Bloodtide IV, Gilli as a DM was an utter delight, bringing a joy and enthusiasm to every aspect of the game and table. Particular thanks for sharing her soundtrack picks and also making sure to give each player and character their little moment while not sacrificing the plot and progression of the quest in the process!
